Wardogs Season 2: what the wipe erases and what happens to cheats

Wardogs Season 2 starts on October 15, 2026, and the wipe will delete your cash, levels and XP, while Gold Bars and any cosmetics you bought stay on the account. Before the reset, saved cash gets converted into Gold Bars, but Bulkhead has not named the exchange rate yet. The only confirmed piece of season content so far is rain as a new weather state for maps. The studio has not revealed anything else.

If you play with software, the seasonal patch matters for a different reason: a big client update can temporarily move a build to Updating status. Which private Wardogs cheats are undetected right now, what they cost and what they do is listed on our cheats for Wardogs page. Those statuses were checked on the post Patch 0.11 build: Bakurani and Ozeti maps, official and community servers, kernel level Elytra anti-cheat. Below we go point by point through what changes on October 15 and how not to waste money on a key during patch week.

What the Season 2 wipe deletes and what stays

The Wardogs wipe is partial. The studio resets everything that gives you an edge in a match and keeps what you bought with the endgame currency. Here is what is known as of September 24:

Cash and levels: Season 1 progress goes to zero

Players who were saving up for heavy vehicles will feel the wipe the most. In Season 1 the Artillery Tank costs $500,000 and only unlocks at Career 90, the Heavy Tank needs Driver 35, and the Little Bird with miniguns went from $25,000 to $50,000 in the September 9 changelog. The season started you on $10,000, and gear is bought again for every life, so few people ever got to artillery. We covered how Season 1 vehicle prices change the game and why Vehicle ESP matters at those prices in our breakdown of $500,000 vehicles and radar. By October 15 all of that cash burns, and whatever you saved turns into Gold Bars at an unknown rate.

Levels will not survive the wipe either. Since the Season 1 changelog, level 20 needs 250,000 XP instead of 111,500, which makes leveling 124.2% slower. The median player reaches roughly level 20 in 20-25 hours. All six progression tracks start over, so the Artillery Tank and the Heavy Tank have to be unlocked from scratch again.

Gold Bars and cosmetics: what definitely stays

Only Gold Bars carry over between seasons. They are the endgame currency: you spend them in the Gold Market on cosmetics, which also stay on your account. The studio also promised: "We will NEVER monetize in-game cash or gold bars". You cannot buy Gold Bars with real money, and there are no plans for it. There is exactly one way to carry anything from the first season into the second: converting your cash.

Converting cash into Gold Bars: the rate is unknown

Bulkhead has not said how many Gold Bars your saved cash will be worth. Vice confirmed the exchange itself on September 23, but the article has no numbers. So the "how much gold per million" tables floating around the community are guesses for now. We do not recommend farming cash for the conversion on purpose. The rate may turn out to be symbolic, and some farming methods end in penalties, covered below.

What else is known about Season 2 and what is not

Season 2 has few confirmed features. Bulkhead clarified one weather detail on X, and everything else still sits on the Early Access roadmap without dates.

Rain: a map state, not a mid-match event

Rain comes to the maps with Season 2. The studio explained that it is a separate weather state of the map: a match is either played in rain or without it, and the weather does not change dynamically in the middle of a fight. That matters for visuals. If rain noticeably cuts visibility at range, ESP boxes and skeletons over a wet picture will be easier to read than an enemy silhouette in the drizzle. How rain behaves with each specific build, though, we will only check after the patch lands, and we promise nothing in advance.

Early Access roadmap: Black Market, skills, fighter jets

The Early Access roadmap lists Black Market & Vault, Player Skills & Challenges and fighter jets. None of these is officially tied to Season 2, so there is no reason to expect them on October 15: not confirmed. Early Access on Steam has been running since September 10 and, according to the studio's plan, will last about 1-2 years. The price is $39.99 now, and CEO Joe Brammer said it should rise to $49.99 in about a year and to $59.99 a year after that. Console versions are announced for 2028.

The game's price tag matters for cheat users too. Since September 18 Steam Family Sharing is disabled in Wardogs, so a new account after a ban means a new purchase. Brammer openly called the $40 price "the best anti-cheat", and as the price grows, every ban will cost more.

What happens to your cheat after the seasonal patch

The wipe itself does nothing to a cheat; the client patch that ships with the season does. The software works with the game client and the Elytra anti-cheat, not with your cash balance, so a progress reset changes nothing for the loader. What changes is the client.

Build status may switch to Updating

A big patch touches the game client, and afterwards build developers check that the software is still compatible with Elytra. During that time the status on the product card may switch from undetected to Updating. It does not always happen and not to every build: each one has its own developer and its own pace. So on October 15 check the status on the product card first, not the date you bought the key. What Elytra checks at kernel level and why builds get rechecked after patches is covered in our article on the Elytra anti-cheat in Wardogs.

Some patch-day problems have nothing to do with cheats at all. A fresh example: the WD-L020 thread pinned on September 23 turned out to be caused by the Windows 11 preview update KB5124010, and there is one fix: uninstall that update. If after the season launches the game will not start with code 1628505086 ("anti-cheat login failed"), go through our list of Wardogs anti-cheat errors first, and only then write to support.

The wipe does not lift a hardware ban

Support regularly gets the same question: "It is a new season, maybe the ban resets?". It does not. The wipe covers cash, levels and XP, while Bulkhead's penalties live separately. A hardware ban is tied to a device identifier and applies to every account on that PC, and it cannot be appealed, just like temporary suspensions and server restrictions. An appeal via appeal@bulkhead.com is only available for a permanent account ban, and the answer takes about 30 days. All four penalty tiers and why a HWID ban in Wardogs is final are laid out in our piece on the Wardogs hardware ban.

Farming cash before the wipe: how it ends

The end of a season pushes people to grab as much cash as possible, since the conversion rate is unknown anyway. In Wardogs that is a bad idea. Patch 0.11 from September 12 spelled out the penalties directly:

  • Abusing cash exploits: a temporary ban and a reset of cash and XP to zero, so you reach the conversion with an empty balance.
  • Publishing exploit guides: a permanent ban, the studio treats it as advertising cheats.
  • XP farming servers: also a permanent ban, worded as "We track every server you enter".
  • A second account through Family Sharing: this route has been closed since September 18, when family sharing was switched off entirely.

A cheat is a different story. ESP and aim help you earn cash through normal play: kills, spotting, holding the objective. An exploit breaks the economy, and the studio hunts for those anomalies separately. Our catalog has no "money hack" builds for Wardogs, and we do not advise looking for them.

What to pick for Wardogs around the seasonal patch

During patch week the goal is simple: do not overpay for time that may be spent waiting for a build update. Current pointers from our catalog:

  • Playing until October 15 and on patch day: buy a day, not a month. BYSTER costs about $3 per day, NN LITE $3 per day. A month makes sense once the card shows undetected again after the patch.
  • Full pack for the season start: GHOST for about $3.5 per day or $35 per month, with recoil control, Vehicle ESP, vehicle radar and OBS hiding. Details are in our GHOST review for Wardogs.
  • ESP only, no aim: ANCIENT for about $3 per day, or the same NN LITE. After the wipe everyone's budget is small again, and knowing where the enemy and their vehicles are is more useful than risking aim.
  • DMA on a second machine: ELEVATED WARDOGS DMA from $3 per day or $200 lifetime, and by default the software only reads memory. A lifetime license does not cancel post-patch updates, but you will not have to buy a key again.
  • Prediction for long range duels: ARCANE from $4 per day or $30 per month, with movement prediction and a Russian language menu.

Check each build's status after the seasonal patch on the Wardogs cheats → page: prices, the undetected or Updating mark and a feature comparison. We update the list after Wardogs patches, and we will recheck it on Season 2 launch day too.

If you are not sure whether to buy a key now or wait for the patch, ask the community: Telegram (200+ members) and Discord (637+ members). News about statuses after updates shows up there first.

FAQ about Season 2 and cheats for Wardogs

When does Wardogs Season 2 start?

Season 2 starts on October 15, the official date from Bulkhead. The wipe of cash, levels and XP happens that day. At ForgeCheats we will recheck build statuses right after the patch goes live, so look at the product card before buying a long key.

How many Gold Bars will cash be worth in the wipe?

The rate has not been disclosed. All we know is that cash converts into Gold Bars, and Gold Bars and cosmetics carry over to the new season. The rate numbers going around chats are unofficial. At ForgeCheats we do not recommend farming cash for an unknown rate, especially with exploits: under Patch 0.11 that means a ban and a reset.

Will my cheat break after the Wardogs wipe?

The wipe does not touch the software, it only affects progress. The risk comes from the client patch: a build's status may switch to Updating for a while. Current statuses of every product are collected in the Wardogs cheat catalog, and after each update we mark there which builds are undetected.

Does the new season remove a hardware ban?

No. The wipe resets cash and levels, not penalties. A hardware ban applies to every account on the device and cannot be appealed; appeals via appeal@bulkhead.com only work for a permanent account ban. At ForgeCheats we say it honestly: any build carries a ban risk, and the status is valid at the moment of purchase.

Should I buy a monthly key before October 15?

A day or a week is the better deal. If a build goes into Updating after the patch, part of the paid time may fall into that window. Daily plans at ForgeCheats start at about $3 (BYSTER, NN LITE, ELEVATED DMA), and a month is the smarter buy once the status is undetected again after Season 2.
