So you've bought VESPERA for DayZ and want to play with it tonight. Setup takes about five minutes if you do things in the right order. Below is the whole process, from prepping Windows to opening the menu on a live server.
What you need before you start
Check these first. Most of the launch problems people bring to us come from skipping one of them.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, any build up to and including 25H2.
- An Nvidia or AMD graphics card.
- DayZ in windowed or borderless windowed mode. Exclusive fullscreen won't work.
- Your loader link and license key. Both show up in your ForgeCheats account right after payment, so open the buyer dashboard and leave that tab open.
Get Windows out of the way
Start with your antivirus, and that includes Windows Defender. If it stays on, it can quietly delete or block VesperaLoader before you ever see the window. Turn it off before you download anything. If you've never done that, we have a step by step guide to disabling Windows protection.
Then close any other anti-cheat running in the background. FACEIT, Riot Vanguard and BSG (the Escape from Tarkov anti-cheat) all conflict with VESPERA, and the cheat won't run while any of them is active. Look in the tray and in Task Manager, and uninstall or disable them if you have to.
If you're not sure your system components are in good shape, Vespera's support has a small tool that checks them. Ask for it in a ticket.
Start the loader first, then the game
Order is the one thing you can't get wrong here: VesperaLoader first, DayZ second. If the game is already open when you run the loader, close it and start again.
- Download VesperaLoader from the link in your ForgeCheats dashboard and run it.
- Paste in the key you got on the site.
- Wait for the message that says the cheat started successfully. Leave the game alone until it appears.
- Launch DayZ the usual way, with BattlEye enabled. It's the standard launch and needs nothing special.
Check that everything works in game
In game, press DELETE to open the menu. Join a server and try a few features to make sure they respond. The menu has these sections:
- Aim
- Visuals
- World
- Loot
- Binds
- Settings
The interface can be switched between English and Russian, and the GUI SIZE option scales it. Settings also has Save Config and Load Config for keeping your setup between sessions, and Unload Cheat if you want to turn it off without restarting.
Something's not working?
Go through these before you open a ticket. They cover most cases.
- Did you run the loader before DayZ and not after?
- Is the antivirus still off, and is the loader file still there?
- Are FACEIT, Vanguard and BSG fully closed?
- Is DayZ in windowed or borderless windowed mode?
- Did the loader actually show the success message before you launched the game?
